Egypt terminates gas flow to Israel, stakeholder says

Bee's Note:  Is anyone reading this surprised?!  Looks like all agreements are null and void and Israel needs to take back the Sinai.  That should end this little problem - period.

Finance Minister Steinitz says he views with “deep concern” the unilateral Egyptian announcement over terminating the gas deal with Israel; Mofaz calls move a “blatant violation” of the 1979 peace treaty between the countries.
Egypt on Sunday terminated a long-term gas deal with Israel, a stakeholder said, prompting Jerusalem to express its “deep concern” over what it described as a possible violation of the peace treaty between the two countries.
The move came after a string of cross-border pipeline attacks in the 14 months since Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak’s ouster last February. Read more.
